After months of waiting and anticipation, the full list of nominations for Hollywood's most coveted night has officially been announced. On Thursday, January 22, 2026, the 98th Academy Awards nominations were unveiled live from the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Los Angeles, and it set the stage for a season of record-breaking buzz and big surprises. This year’s ceremony is slated for Sunday, March 15, 2026, at the iconic Dolby Theater in Hollywood, where Conan O’Brien will return as host as the industry’s best gather to celebrate cinematic excellence.

Leading the race with a historic 16 nominations, Sinners has shattered the all-time record previously held by classics like All About Eve, Titanic, and La La Land, asserting itself as the film everyone’s talking about. Eleven actors scored their first Oscar nods this year, from Rose Byrne to Jacob Elordi, while seasoned winners such as Leonardo DiCaprio and Emma Stone add seasoned star power to the list. Timothée Chalamet is the only acting nominee to have been nominated last year.

But amid the triumphs, there were notable disappointments: India’s official entry Homebound did not make the final cut in the International Feature Film category, ending its Oscars journey before the nominations stage.

Here is the full list of nominations:
