Here’s everything we’re hoping for in the second part of ‘Bridgerton’ season 3

The wait is finally over for Bridgerton fans who are about to get the answers they’ve been waiting for. After the slow-burn romance between Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington (we’re talking about the infamous carriage scene), we can’t help but anticipate what comes next. Moreover, the question of Penelope coming clean about her identity as Lady Whistledown to Colin is anyone’s guess. Apart from our lead pair, the rest of the town too has enough drama and gossip to keep us hooked and wondering just how things will end.

With the second part of season three releasing tomorrow, June 13, we’re only a day away from getting answers. However, we couldn’t help but make our predictions about what to expect from the second part of season three. 

Colin and Penelope’s engagement

Fans couldn’t have asked for a better cliffhanger at the end of part one as Colin finally realises that he loves Penelope and goes after her to propose to her. While we are excited to see the two lovebirds take a step closer to their happily ever after, it’s important to remember that Penelope hasn’t accepted the proposal yet. Saying yes might seem like the easiest thing to do, if only the show was as straightforward. That said, we do predict and expect the pair to get engaged on the show.

How will Colin learn the true identity of Lady Whistledown?

This is the burning question that every single Bridgerton fan wants answered. Those who’ve followed the show as well as interviews with the makes, know what’s coming. Showrunner Jess Brownell herself confirmed the big revelation on Netflix Tudum saying, “Colin is going to find out Penelope is Lady Whistledown.” The question remains, will this revelation happen before or after they get engaged? Either way, it will be extremely difficult for Penelope to hide the truth and we can’t wait to see how Colin reacts to the truth. 

To refresh your memory, Colin, in the first part of season three had very explicitly said that if he ever found out who she (Lady Whistledown) is he will “make sure it is her life that is ruined”. While we fully expect Colin to be fuming, it’ll be Penelope’s justification for doing so that’ll make them bury their differences and reconcile. We’re certainly predicting love to win in the end. 

Will Eloise forgive Penelope?

As of now, the only person who knows that Penelope is Lady Whistledown is her best friend Eloise. The latter found out in the season two finale, which led to the duo’s falling out in the first part of season three. Consequently, Eloise goes on to make new friends only to realise how dull their company and conversations are. She still reminisces about asking for Penelope whenever she can and even goes on to wish her well in her pursuit of a husband. Little did she know that her best friend would end up with her brother. This changes the dynamic between them entirely, which begs the question—will Eloise want to tell Colin about Penelope’s true identity? Either way, we do expect Eloise to stand up for her friend when Colin gets the news. We can’t help but think Eloise might do her best to patch things up with Penelope. If that’s what the truth will do, out with it!
