From Naomi Osaka to Venus Williams and Frances Tiafoe, players are going all out with their kits.

Harper's Bazaar India

A lot is said about the tenniscore fashion from glamorous VIP guests on the stands at the US Open, but this year, it’s all about the on-the-court fits.

Pro tennis players are having fun with their game-day kits like never before, experimenting with bright colors and patterns, repping exclusive brand collaborations, and even adding some shimmer to their looks (I’m looking at you, Naomi Osaka).

Ahead, all the best ensembles from the star players at the 2025 US Open.

Venus Williams on September 1

For her Women’s Doubles Third Round match with partner Leylah Fernandez of Canada, Williams slipped on a custom Pucci minidress by Camille Miceliat in a swirly black, brown, and beige print inspired by the upcoming Fall/Winter 2025 collection.

She accessorised with a matching silk tie visor and racket cover, as well as her trusty Lacoste sneakers.

Naomi Osaka on August 26

The Japanese athlete wore a Clementine Nike ensemble to her Women’s Singles First Round match against Greet Minnen of Belgium.

The base was an elaborate tennis minidress, the top of which featured panels sprinkled with crystals and then morphed into a bubble skirt. Over it, Osaka wore a matching jacket, also dotted with gleaming crystals.

But the shine didn’t end there. To go with the sparkly rosettes adorning her head, the star wore bright red headphones also covered in crystals, and attached to her duffel bag a fiery red Labubu that was totally blinged out as well. The toy’s name is Billie Jean Bling.

To make matters even better, the little monster carried its own bedazzled blue tennis racket, matching Osaka’s.

Frances Tiafoe on August 25

U.S. pro Frances Tiafoe brought loud colours and bold prints to the court for his match against Yoshihito Nishioka of Japan.

His full Lululemon fit included a ventilated short-sleeve tennis shirt and mesh tennis shorts, both in a bold red with a black striped print that was like the love child of camo and zebra print.

Because you can’t have too much of a good thing, Tiafoe accessorised the set with other watermelon-red accessories, including a headband, wristbands, and socks. His white sneakers also had dashes of red all over.

For her Women’s Doubles Second Round match with partner Fernandez, Williams looked incredible in a grey-and-white pleated minidress in mesh and genuine leather, from Who Decides War. She wore white micro shorts under the tutu-like skirt, and completed the look with a white visor, white Lacoste sneakers, and gold hoop earrings.

Alexander Zverev on August 26

Grape purple has been a big theme at this year’s US Open, and few have worn it as well as Zverev. For his match against Alejandro Tabilo of Chile, the German player pulled off a monochrome Adidas Y-3 look, which included a short-sleeve shirt with a zipper detail at the neck, matching shorts, and an athletic jacket. His purple headband and tennis duffle sealed the deal.

The only element of the kit that broke Zverev’s bold colour scheme was his footwear: Y-3 Yohji Yamamoto’s Tennis Capsule Adizero Ubersonic Sneaker in white and black.

Venus Williams on August 25

For her final singles match at this year’s tournament, against Karolina Muchova of the Czech Republic, the tennis icon went for a preppy all-white look with a funky twist.

The Lacoste ensemble included a form-fitting polo that she layered under a shirt jacket and paired with a pleated miniskirt. A visor and sneakers, also in chalk white, completed the game fit, but Williams’s most eye-catching accessory was a shaggy butter-yellow shearling racket bag from ERL. The fun, custom piece featured a brown leather top-handle strap for the athlete to carry it like a handbag.

Coco Gauff on August 26

Repping New Balance for her match against Ajla Tomljanovic of Australia, Gauff wore a fire truck-red crop top and matching short shorts that peeked out under her white bubble skirt as she ran across the court. She completed the look with textured orange sneakers from her own US Open collection with New Balance, as well as a maroon headband and matching wristbands and socks.

Venus Williams on August 21

Repping New York City at the Stars of the Open exhibition match with John McEnroe, Williams was sleek in an all-black fit by Raul Lopez for Luar.

The inky look included a bomber-style zip-up jacket with ruffled detailing and a popped collar, plus a matching pleated miniskirt. A black cap, a black racket, and white Lacoste sneakers capped off the look.

Her stylist, Ronald Burton, did well.

Naomi Osaka on August 28

For her second match, against U.S. player Hailey Baptiste, Osaka wore a purple version of her first custom, crystal-covered Nike kit—this time further elevated by intricately-designed sneakers customised with her name written in Japanese characters. Not pictured: her daytime Labubu, Arthur Flashe, now in blue and purple crystals.

Jack Draper on August 25

As the new face of cool, streetwear-inspired performance brand Vuori, Draper put the label in the spotlight at the US Open. For his match against Federico Agustin Gomez of Argentina, the British tennis pro wore a dark grey sleeveless tank with the brand’s name written in white at the centre, plus white shorts, sneakers, and wristbands. He even broke the oh-so-elegant tennis uniform rules a little with his backwards baseball cap.

Draper modelled the same exact look for a Vuori campaign announcing him as the brand’s tennis athlete.

Simple, but effective.

Carlos Alcaraz on August 25

Another purple look? I’ll take it. Fan-favourite Carlos Alcaraz (or “Carlitos”), of Spain, repped a plum hue during his match against U.S. player Reilly Opelka.

The Nike kit included a sleeveless shirt with subtle, monochromatic stripes, shorts, a wristband, and sneakers with the Nike swoosh in soft pink.

Alcaraz broke the rich colour scheme with a pair of long black socks. And his most surprising accessory? A new buzz cut—à la David Beckham.

Emma Raducanu on August 24

Like Osaka and Gauff, Raducanu also got the orange-and-burgundy memo. For her match against Japan’s Ena Shibahara, the British player slipped on a blood-orange top with a black detail at the chest that mimicked a cutout. She paired it with a burgundy miniskirt and matching visor, plus highlighter-orange sneakers. The full fit was Nike.

Venus Williams on August 19

For her mixed doubles match with U.S. player Reilly Opelka, Williams slipped into custom Khaite, an NYC-based label better known for its elegant staples. The look was a navy-blue minidress lined with white and featuring a built-in sports bra and undershorts.

She paired the mini with a white visor and her trusty white sneakers from Lacoste. (The brand famously dressed Williams for the 2025 Met Gala and is a regular presence in her wardrobe.)

Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori on August 19

The kits of powerful Italian doubles partners Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori were as sharp as their game. The two coordinated in stealthy black outfits with white accents.

She wore a sleeveless tank, shorts, and a super-thin headband, while he wore a short-sleeve colorblock top and shorts from Armani’s EA7 tennis and padel collection. They matched in white sneakers.

Venus Williams on August 23

Williams was a Lacoste It girl during a practice session ahead of her final match. The pro layered a navy tank—repping the brand’s crocodile logo—over a sky-blue sports bra in a watercolour print. To match, she slipped on a pleated powder-blue skirt and navy Lacoste wristbands. Her ballerina bun was the cherry on top.
