Radhika Merchant wears an iconic Atelier Versace gown for the Ambani-Merchant pre-wedding event

If the outfit looks familiar, it's because it's the same one Blake Lively wore to the Met Gala in 2022.

While Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's wedding is not until July this year, their pre-wedding celebrations have begun in full swing, in Jamnagar, Gujarat. Being the wealthiest man in India, Mukesh Ambani has gone out and beyond to set new benchmarks of luxury for the pre-wedding festivities. From the to-be-married couple to the guests, everyone dressed to the nines for last night's cocktail party.

But among the dazzling ensembles, it was Merchant's outfit that caught everyone's attention. The bride-to-be exuded elegance in a custom embellished rose-pink Atelier Versace gown. The only other time a version of this gown was custom-made, was in 2022 when Blake Lively wore it to the Met Gala Ball.

However, unlike Lively's dual-toned gown with blue undertones, Merchant's ensemble was a soft rose-pink that featured satin bows and intricate lace detailing. Merchant also opted for an understated draping and a slightly higher neckline. She accessorised the outfit with diamond jewellery, including a unique necklace with yellow stones. Merchant decided to go for a soft-glam makeup look with lightly curled hair. Her choice to forego gloves and a trailing gown added a modern twist to the classic ensemble.

The pre-wedding festivities saw a dazzling guest list with the who's who of Bollywood and international royalty in attendance including Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Kareena Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra, Kiara Advani, Ananya Panday, Aditya Roy Kapur, and others.

The event was also attended by Ivanka Trump, Mark Zuckerberg, Sachin Tendulkar, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Bill Gates, and Sadhguru among others. And of course, Rihanna, whose electrifying performance completely stole the show!
