ICYMI: Here's everything cool that went down in fashion this week

October is proving that fashion is thriving across design, craft, and culture.

Harper's Bazaar India

Even beyond the global fashion weeks and the ones closer to home, this year has felt like one long celebration of style—and October began no differently. The first week brought a mix of openings, launches, and creative unveilings that reminded us why fashion remains one of the most expressive languages of culture.

Christian Louboutin’s Indian love letter

Christian Louboutin unveiled La Vie en Inde, a limited-edition capsule paying homage to India’s nine sacred gemstones, the Navratna. The collection celebrates the country’s colour, symbolism, and opulence—melding French artistry with Indian heritage in a luminous ode to adornment.

Sabyasachi’s Bengal-inspired tableware

Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s latest collaboration with Nilaya from Asian Paints introduces Bengale Tigris, a 16-piece tableware collection inspired by the wetlands of the Sundarbans. Painted by artists of the Sabyasachi Art Foundation and embellished in 24-carat gold, the line captures the majesty of Bengal’s wilderness. Available exclusively at Nilaya Anthology in Mumbai, it brings couture craftsmanship into the home.

Raw Mango’s celebration of unions

Raw Mango’s Once Upon a River captures the poetry of connection. Filmed at the heritage Santrampur Palace, the collection explores themes of union, ritual, and transformation. With zari threads shimmering like ripples and weaving meeting embroidery in harmonious layers, the pieces reflect India’s craft traditions in motion. Evoking both nostalgia and renewal, the campaign invites wearers to embrace the festive season as a convergence of culture, emotion, and artistry.

Notice Me makes a bold debut

Launched in Mumbai by Harpreet Saini and Komal Jain, Notice Me is the newest handbag label daring to do things differently. Its playful, vibrant designs—from beaded minis like the Chili Bag to sculptural clutches like Pika—embrace boldness over minimalism. Priced between ₹2,499 and ₹8,500, the brand redefines everyday accessories as joy-filled statements.

KALKI arrives in Kala Ghoda

KALKI opened its grand new flagship in Mumbai’s Kala Ghoda—a neighbourhood where art and fashion converge. Set within a restored heritage building, the store reimagines couture retail with a gallery-style layout, intimate bridal suites, and digital styling tools that merge craftsmanship with technology, and a dedicated men’s section. To mark the opening, the brand introduced an exclusive Kala Ghoda capsule, inspired by the area’s art and architecture. As CEO Saurabh Gupta shared, the store represents KALKI’s evolution into a cultural couture destination—rooted in heritage yet built for the modern bride and groom.

Kilian Paris’ iconic fragrance bar

French fragrance house Kilian Paris hosted an exclusive event at The Bay Club, Mumbai, on October 9. Guests experienced the brand’s signature fragrance bar, featuring its most iconic scents along with the newly launched Angels’ Share Paradis. The immersive setup invited guests to explore, layer, and discover perfumes through sensory storytelling—a fitting debut for a brand that treats scent as wearable art.

As October unfolds, one thing is clear—Indian fashion continues to blur the lines between art, emotion, and innovation. Whether it’s KALKI’s heritage revival, Raw Mango’s reflective storytelling, or Sabyasachi’s art-meets-luxury collaboration, the week set the tone for a festive season where creativity is the truest celebration.
