The 16th edition of FDCI Hyundai India Couture Week (ICW) in association with Reliance Brands, is scheduled to start from July 25 to August 2 in Delhi. The couture week will open with designers Falguni Shane Peacock showcasing their collection followed by the incredible craftsmanship on display by other leading couturiers of India like Ritu Kumar, Tarun Tahiliani, Gaurav Gupta, JJ Valaya, Kunal Rawal, Rahul Mishra, Anamika Khanna, Rimzim Dadu, Suneet Varma, and Varun Bahl amongst others.

The start of India Couture Week can be traced back to 2008 when FDCI chairperson Sunil Sethi was elected as president and felt the time had arrived to create a unified platform that would showcase Indian artisanship and design sensibilities, giving it the space it deserved. The inaugural showcase featured 11 couturiers that included Anamika Khanna, Ashish Soni, JJ Valaya, Manav Gangwani, Manish Malhotra, Pallavi Jaikishan, Ritu Kumar, Rohit Bal, Suneet Varma, Tarun Tahiliani and Varun Bahl in association with HDIL ( Indian real estate development company).

The substantial growth in Delhi-based designers and fashion houses drove ICW to organise a show in the capital city in 2010. Today, the city continues to be home to many luxury retail spaces and entrepreneurs. This year, Hyundai ICW is set to be showcased at Taj Palace Delhi with other offsite shows in the line-up.
