A National Award, a husband, a Mustang, they got all they desired and truly wished for.

They say that if you happen to love something with pure intentions and truly from the heart, the entire universe works to make that dream a part of your reality. Though this iconic dialogue sounds way better in Hindi when King Khan says it in Om Shanti Om, you get what we are getting at, don't you? Yes, the power of manifestation. There’s no denying that manifestation is a powerful self practice to turn your dreams and wishes in reality. And most recently, Shefali Shah exemplifies this. Shah manifested winning at the 51st International Emmy Awards and she came close to living her dream—she was nominated for an award in the Best Performance by an Actress category for Delhi Crime Season 2. While she lost out to Mexican actor, Karla Souza for La Caida, Shah and each one of us will continue manifesting to come a few steps closer to fulfilling our dreams. And if this isn't inspiring enough, we share stories of celebrities who made their dreams a reality through the power of manifestation.

Shefali Shah

In a video uploaded on the official Instagram account of the Emmy Awards, Shah talks about imagining her Emmy speech when she was shooting the second season of Delhi Crime during a make-up session. "It was strange and I don't remember it, but my make-up team said. 'Do you remember Shefali, we were in the van (vanity) and were shooting for Delhi Crime and you were just monkeying around and making up this speech'. And I was like, 'Oh my God! I mean that is amazing'."

Alia Bhatt had always dreamt of marrying Ranbir Kapoor, even before they could get together and at a time when he was dating someone else. While the two did tie the knot in April 2022, it was back in 2014, during an episode on Koffee With Karan, where the actor revealed how much she wanted to marry Kapoor (who was in a relationship with Katrina Kaif at that time). "I remember the first time I spoke to Ranbir, you called him up and Rockstar had just released. You said, 'Here talk to Ranbir, tell him how much you loved him.' And I spoke so much rubbish, I was talking non-stop. But then obviously I hung out with him after that and I still think he's really adorable, and I still want to marry him."

Eight years later, she did.

Kriti Sanon

Kriti Sanon was on cloud nine after winning her first National Film Award in the Best Actress category for her film Mimi. And though many people don't know this, she had manifested the national award win in her journal back in 2020. Speaking about it, she said, “Sometimes, it is important to write down what you want to do, what are your dreams. This is something I wrote in 2020. For me, manifestation doesn't work like that, if I run after something too much, it doesn't come to me. This is one way of manifesting for me where I write it down and leave it aside.”

Here's the actor revealing her manifestation secret.

Jim Carrey

Ever been so sure and confident of yourself that you end up writing a $10mn dollar cheque? Well, that’s how assured the actor was. In an interview to Oprah, Carrey revealed an amazing manifestation story, “I wrote myself a check for 10 million dollars for acting services rendered, and I gave myself five years.” He added, “Just before Thanksgiving 1995, I found out that I was gonna make 10 million dollars on Dumb and Dumber.”

And that isn’t the only success story the actor has. The actor had manifested the Mustang bike, that was part of a scene from The Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, because his father didn’t have the money to buy one. “Whenever I wanted something to happen, I manifested it. I stood there in an open field like this, (with) my arms out.” Carrey would also “visualise things coming to me that I wanted and I had nothing at that time but it just made me feel better. At that time, all it really was for me was making me feel better. I would drive home and think, ‘Well, I do have these things. They’re out there, I just don’t have a hold of them yet but they’re out there’.”

Tom Holland

Holland didn't just manifest his career but also his dream girl. In 2013, three years before he got the role of Spider Man, Holland had revealed that he wanted to play this particular superhero. “It's impossible to say something you exactly want to do, but something with action or comedy, maybe something that's less serious,” said Holland. “What kind of superhero would I want to play? Maybe get ready to play Spider-Man in 10 years time for the reboot of the reboot.”

That wasn’t all, he got the girl of his dreams, Zendaya. In a 2017 interview for Spider-Man: Homecoming, Holland was asked who his first celebrity crush was. No prize for guessing the answer.

Megan Fox

Megan Fox turned her dreams into reality when she manifested a partner like Machine Gun Kelly when she was four (yup, you read that right). Little did she know that the stars would align when the duo ended up being cast in Midnight in the Switchgrass together. She says she didn't really know why she had accepted the role, and that she "just knew" she "needed to do it for some reason". "He’s literally my exact physical type that I’ve been manifesting since I was four. I’m also four years older than him. So, I think I made him. My thoughts and intentions grew him into the person that he is, who knows what he would’ve looked like or been like if it wasn’t for me," Fox revealed in an interview to Glamour.
