Purple blushes to invest in for a brighter, bolder look

Live in a lavender haze!

Harper's Bazaar India

I wouldn't call purple blush the 'new kid on the block' but in the world of beauty, it certainly is one of the most intimidating. The reason is simple—generally, blushes are red, pink or coral-hued. So when suddenly social media was brimming with content creators and make-up artists trying out purple and lilac-coloured blushes, it left the rest of us extremely curious about how it would look and what the colour payoff would be like. Thankfully, it wasn't clownish or loud (unless you apply too much product and don't blend well, but that's all make-up). There is something undeniably flattering about purple blush. It leaves a very popsicle-stain look that looks especially gorgeous on people with medium and deep skin complexions. We wouldn't dare say that purple blush is here to replace the traditional colours, but by working with our skin's undertone, it surely brings more depth than pink or red.

While we debate whether purple blush is a fad or a permanent addition to our vanity bags, there is no harm in a little experimentation. You never know, you might find your go-to product!
