We spoke about the beauty boom—the increasing inundation of skincare and make-up brands on our screens and into our lives—in the last column, and never has it been more apparent than in the last two months of writing this column. The number of products we had to go through for this curation increased manifold, and our task got tougher than anticipated. But, well, we did it, and here is the list of our favourite products for March.
Of course, before you say these aren’t all March products, we must mention that most of these are products that we have tried over three weeks at the minimum before they made it here.
That cleared; read on.
Skeyndor Blue Light Technology SPF50+ Ocean Respect Protective Cream
Ah, the summer calling. Not that it should be an excuse not to slather on the sunscreen (have we not been scared enough into twice-a-day, two-fingers worth of sunscreen or we’d age like a sliced apple?), but accept it or not, we tend to fall prey to laze in the winters. Any excuse expires now. While we are on the hunt for the perfect sunscreen, could there be anything better than a non-greasy formula with high sun protection that battles HEV blue light rays AND is ocean-friendly—which means endless hours on the beaches without worrying about the harm that we could cause the ecosystem? This one by Skeyndor does it all and is so light on the skin that it’s become one of our favourites.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Ultra Rich Color Lip Pencil
We love a good lip pencil that screams, “hey, what luscious lips!”. Our search for that one natural shade with a perfectly creamy, stay-in-for-hours formula finally stopped at our trusted brand's two new shades—Caramel and Rosewood. With a velvet-matte finish from the brand that does pencils to the T, this one is now our go-to for a 9-to-5 look.
82°E Gotu Kola Dew
Another one from Deepika Padukone’s skincare line, this toner-serum is power-packed with ingredients like gotu kola and niacinamide. As has been the brand’s emphasis—gotu kola is packed with antioxidants that aid collagen production and minimise signs of ageing like dull skin, dark spots, and fine lines. The antioxidants help the skin to retain moisture and niacinamide regulates melanin production, improves skin texture, and tones. Remember the Laneige Cream Skin Toner and Moisturiser we absolutely loved for leaving us with plump skin? This is that with the power to battle a myriad of skin problems that Indian skin falls prey to. This one is going to stay in our kits for a long time.
Bath And Body Works Dream Bright Collection
Very few do fragrances as beautifully as Bath and Body Works does. Their latest Dream Bright Collection—packed with the goodness of hyaluronic acid, aloe vera, vitamin E, shea butter, coconut oil, and cocoa butter—feels like a luxurious day at the spa and will leave your skin nourished and supple. Layer up with the range for that long-lasting lingering smell of decadence.
Juice Beauty Stem Cellular 2-In-1 Cleanser
Juice Beauty, which has become one of our favourite skincare brands, is clean beauty at its best. Their newest cleanser is, well, what can we say, a chef’s kiss! With a focus on antioxidant-rich skincare, this one is packed with resveratrol and antioxidant-rich champagne grape seed oil, mineral-rich algae, and aloe leaf juice rich in glycoproteins. It is everything you want a cleanser to do—be gentle on the skin as it removes dirt and sebum, while soothing the skin, hydrating, and toning.
Laneige Mango Lip Sleeping Mask
Their Berry Lip Sleeping Mask has been a personal favourite for years now. Nothing compares to the hydration of this formula of hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, and antioxidants from a blend of berries. Which is why the brand’s latest launch was a definite to-try, and we can say it absolutely delivered with all its tropical goodness.
Kiko Milano Energy Shake Collection
Shake up your beauty routine with Kiko’s latest collection that packs the goodness of coffee seed oil, vitamin C, ginseng, ginger, and a power punch of high-impact formulas that last throughout the day. There’s the ginseng eyeshadow palette, matte lip stylo, metallic liquid eyeshadow, long-lasting eyeliner and kajal, ginger brightening face mask, serum lip balm, and coffee eye patches. It’s make-up with the benefits of skincare.
Nourish Mantra Hair Finishing Stick
Say goodbye to the annoying flyaways with this one. Think sleak hair at home and with the swish of an easy wand—and no stickiness! Add to that ingredients like vitamin E, jojoba oil, and argan oil and our hair is happy happy happy. This is a purse staple for us, and must be for you too!
