Expert insight on achieving Beyoncé's iced platinum hair at your next salon appointment

This polished blonde hairdo is destined to be huge in 2024.

After sporting a flattering warm, honey-hued balayage for the entirety of her Renaissance World Tour, Beyoncé has upgraded her signature hairstyle to a seamless-looking platinum blonde. This icy new tone was presented at the tour's Concert Film Premiere in LA, which took place at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater on Saturday evening.

The fresh colour is a sleek and continuous blonde, cool in tone, and devoid of any trace of natural root. It even marries with the singer's freshly lightened brows. By no means a maintenance colour and whimsical in length, this cohesive platinum is undoubtedly a wig. However, that doesn't mean it doesn't encompass an array of this season's brightest beauty trends.

Alongside the seasonably-suited icy palette, the cut of this fresh 'do' is equally as notable. Hip-brushing in length and entirely sleek, this ultra-smooth trim embodies one of trend forecaster, Tom Smith's most covetable future stylings: 'the veil'.

“Romantic, ethereal and statuesque, this long hairstyle is incredibly easy for anyone with hair longer than their shoulders to achieve," he explains. "A great choice for those who like to wear statement earrings, thanks to the hairstyle’s framing effect. We have seen this flooding Fashion Week and on a great number of celebs at recent events. It’s perfect for a clean, minimal aesthetic but can also be utilised to balance a stronger outfit by keeping the hairstyle clean and simple.”

Sported by stars from Olivia Rodrigo to Naomi Campbell, this timeless silhouette is perfect for party season. If you're looking to achieve a similarly sleek hairdo at your next hair appointment, keep this insight at the forefront of your mind:

“If you’re blessed with a relatively symmetrical face, a perfect, sharp, central parting and poker straight hair will work really well. If you’d like a softer alternative, a more irregular mid-ish parting and a little more texture in the lengths is a good option.”

With Beyoncé recently announcing a forthcoming haircare line inspired by growing up in her mother's salon, we expect to see more statement styles from her in promos from now on.
