Founded by entrepreneur, fashion designer and NIFT Alumni Isha Jajodia in 2014, ‘Rose Room,’ previously known as ‘Rose Room Couture’ is all about elegance and style and is now a go-to destination for women who want to be the cynosure of all eyes, come every celebration or occasion. At its core, the brand’s fashion philosophy can be best described as, ‘contemporary designs with a touch of edginess.’

Rose Room was conceptualised in 2014 with a line of stunning, decked up denim and leather jackets. Jajodia however garnered attention and accolades when she showcased her design sensibilities with her laced saris at Ashni+Co in London in the same year. From there on, the idea of contemporary and off-beat bridal wear appeared most appealing to Jajodia, who believed that the brides of today are looking for something that sets them apart from the crowd. Her work such as the red Marchesa lehenga embellished with lace and beadwork, which was worn by Riddhima Kapoor Sahni stand out. The off-white, shimmery Ella lehenga with a plunging v-neckline and lacy sleeves is just the right amount of minimal, and perfect for weddings, plus other soirées.

Besides bridal-wear, the brand also offers a host of ready-to-wear fits from pant-suits, evening gowns, day and evening dresses, to timeless knits and lounge-wear. Several pieces such as the bright pink French lace-tiered asymmetrical day dress ideal for a Sunday brunch has been inspired by the English and French gardens of the Romantic period, vintage textiles, intricate florals, vibrant summery colours and classic prints. Using sheer fabrics, bead-work and lace, every trousseau dress, lehenga, jacket and sari aims to tell a story—each one unique to the woman wearing it.

“Rose Room does not carry garments designed for one type of women, I like to create timeless pieces for real women. From the very beginning, I always wanted every girl and woman walking through the store and who chose to wear our pieces, to feel elegant and confident,” says the entrepreneur, whose ultimate goal is to create designs, not according to trends but those which bring the best in each person who wears them—both physically and mentally.

In 2021, the brand opened its first flagship store in Ambawatta Complex in New Delhi and has also established a presence in Dubai and London. Growing in popularity, Rose Room designs have been worn by Bollywood’s leading ladies such as Alia Bhatt, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Kiara Advani, Aditi Rao Hydari, Kanika Kapoor, and Jacqueline Fernandez.
