There are moments when a city’s rhythm and its artistic pulse beat in perfect harmony. This November, that amalgamation comes together in Art Mumbai 2025. As the sea-breeze wafts around centuries-old trees at Mahalaxmi Racecourse, something extraordinary is set to unfold.
The third edition of the uniquely creative fair is large in scope and ambition. From November 13-16, it’s all set to reaffirm its position as a much-awaited fair that’s so much more than an exhibition. It’s a cultural movement drawing artists, collectors, curators, and critics from all around the world to celebrate the resonance of South Asian art. With 82 exhibitors and nearly 2,000 artworks on display, this year’s edition is as much about scale as it is about collaborative spirit and dialogue.
A global gathering
The fair’s steady rise in popularity is a clear indicator of the city’s thriving creative energy. This year’s edition brings together a stellar lineup of exhibitors, including Akar Prakar, Chemould Prescott Road, Vadehra Art Gallery, Gallery Espace, and TARQ, alongside international galleries such as Lisson Gallery, Sundaram Tagore Gallery, Galleria Continua and Ben Brown Fine Arts. Drawn by the rich histories and contemporary creativity, the fair is a vital meeting point, not just for artists, galleries, collectors and curators, but also a gateway to global conversations in art.
The sculpture park

Perhaps the most exciting aspect of this year is the sculpture park. Beyond the pavilions, it rises like a dream from the grass, its silhouettes shifting through the day, the materials catching Mumbai’s mercurial light. This year, the outdoor exhibition is devoted entirely to women sculptors—pioneering and emerging artists whose works stretch the vocabulary of form and feeling.
Curated to spotlight both pioneering and emerging women artists, the Sculpture Park includes works by Madhvi Parekh, Meera Mukherjee, Poojan Gupta, Ratnabali Kant, and Shambhavi Singh, amongst others. Their works span steel, ceramic, bronze, fibreglass, mixed media, and found objects, and explore ideas of labour, migration, identity, reclamation, and memory. But more than their materials, it’s the energy of the pieces that commands attention. The park invites visitors to walk through art rather than merely around it, disbanding the traditional distance between viewer and object, and offering an immersive encounter with material and meaning.
“The Sculpture Park this year embodies our commitment to celebrating the power and perspective of women artists. Each work invites us to pause, to listen, and to connect—not just with the material, but with the deeply personal narratives that shape our shared experience of art,” said Minal Vazirani, co-founder, Art Mumbai.
Unmissable highlights

Every edition of Art Mumbai introduces something new. Here’s what you should definitely check out:
The speaker series
The speaker series features a lineup of thought leaders, collectors, curators, and artists, and is designed to spark dialogue and broaden perspectives on how South Asian art is shaping global discourse. This year’s discussions include topics such as “Shifting the Axis of Influence” on how Asian patrons are reshaping the art landscape, “Funding Futures” that explores how education and cultural investment sustain artistic growth, and “Collecting Culture”, decoding the art market and its evolving ecosystem, amongst others. Each panel, dynamic and deeply relevant, reflects the fair’s commitment to bridging art, intellect, and impact.
Guided walks, performances, and offsite experiences
For those who like to discover art through narrative, the guided walks led by curators and art historians offer intimate insights. Meanwhile, public performances echo Mumbai’s rich multidisciplinary heritage, creating live intersections of music, movement, and visual storytelling. The VIP Programme extends beyond the fairgrounds, offering exclusive access to private collections, artist studios, and cultural landmarks across the city. It’s an insider’s journey into Mumbai’s ever-evolving creative pulse.
Food, Fashion, and Culture Intertwined
Art doesn’t exist in isolation, and the fair also brings together design pop-ups, gourmet experiences, and lifestyle collaborations that reflect the city’s cosmopolitan soul. Whether it’s a quiet moment at a café overlooking installations or a lively evening performance, Art Mumbai is as much about living art as it is about viewing it.
A Cultural Tapestry Rooted in Mumbai

Mumbai is a city where paradoxes coexist beautifully, and where creativity thrives in unexpected corners. From the Progressive Artists’ Group of 1947, which gave birth to India’s modern art movement, to contemporary collectives shaping new dialogues, Mumbai has always been India’s artistic heart.
Today, galleries, public art projects, and creative institutions are adding their own stories to the city’s cultural map. Art Mumbai builds on this legacy, bridging heritage with experimentation, and positioning the city as a global art hub.
The visionaries behind Art Mumbai
Behind this landmark event are four co-founders whose vision has transformed Mumbai’s art landscape: Dinesh Vazirani, Minal Vazirani, Conor Macklin, and Nakul Dev Chawla. From Saffronart’s pioneering digital auctions to Grosvenor Gallery’s championing of South Asian modernism, their combined expertise bridges continents and disciplines. Together, they have created more than an art fair; they’ve built a cultural bridge between India and the world.

What makes Art Mumbai truly distinct is its commitment to democratising art. The fair is designed to be accessible, engaging, and educational—a space where first-time buyers, seasoned collectors, and curious onlookers can all be in their element.
From large-scale installations and digital art to ceramics and conceptual works, every booth and performance adds to a larger dialogue: about what it means to create, to collect, and to connect in today’s world. The venue—the sprawling Mahalaxmi Racecourse—also becomes part of the narrative. The open-air Sculpture Park, the tented pavilions, the curated lighting, and lush pathways all work together to turn the fair into an immersive sensory experience, a living exhibition of art in motion.
Art Mumbai is a statement of cultural confidence. Here, South Asia’s creative excellence meets international vision, and collectors find discovery, artists find recognition, and audiences find connection. Every conversation, every canvas, every sculpture contributes to an ever-growing narrative; one that cements India’s place in the global art dialogue.
