Inside Cetaphil’s Skin Awareness Month 2025 celebration with Rashmika Mandanna

A conversation on sensitivity, skincare science, and what it really means to choose your bright side.

On Friday, June 27, Mumbai Cetaphil hosted its Skin Awareness Month 2025 event—a multi-sensory celebration of sensitive skin, expert care, and products that tackle skin concerns while being gentle on the skin. The immersive event brought together dermatologists, beauty influencers, skincare educators, and real users to reframe how we think about—and treat—sensitive skin.

Rethinking what sensitive skin needs

While sensitivity is often treated as a minor concern, experts at the event highlighted an important reality—sensitive skin is more prone to pigmentation than normal skin, and requires targeted care that addresses both barrier health and melanin overproduction.

At the heart of the event was Cetaphil’s Bright Healthy Radiance (BHR) range, specifically designed for this dual concern. The new range, powered by Gentle Bright Technology, works to reduce the appearance of dark spots while supporting sensitive skin. Dermatologists at the event explained how common triggers—like inflammation, sun exposure, or environmental stress—can leave long-term marks on sensitive skin if not treated gently and consistently.

Science, made accessible

The brand’s signature campaign message, “Choose Your Bright Side”, came to life through a walkthrough-style setup that translated dermatological insights into simple, interactive zones. From pigment-mapping art to skin barrier education and product testing booths, each section was designed to demystify the relationship between sensitivity and uneven skin tone—without overwhelming guests with jargon.

The installations also gave creators and skincare enthusiasts a chance to engage with the brand in real-time, not just through product trials, but by sharing personal stories and conversations about skincare challenges.

Dance meets skin storytelling

A standout moment from the evening was a contemporary performance that used movement to depict the journey of sensitive skin—from irritation and inflammation, to care, hydration, and radiance. The interpretive piece offered a fresh way to experience skincare beyond the surface, turning the science of skin into a visual metaphor. The performance captured the emotional undercurrent of the event’s message: that skincare is not just about appearance, but about experience, resilience, and care.

Rashmika Mandanna on skincare that works and why she trusts it

One of the highlights of the event was a conversation with actor and Cetaphil brand ambassador Rashmika Mandanna, who arrived alongside her dermatologist to share her experience with sensitive skin. Speaking candidly, she said, “Choosing to be part of Cetaphil Bright Healthy Radiance honestly felt so natural. It’s not just another skincare range—it’s dermat-recommended, gentle, and actually works on concerns like dark spots and uneven tone, which a lot of us go through but don’t talk about enough.”

On staying consistent with her skincare, especially on packed shoot schedules, she added: “I have early mornings, long flights, shoots back to back—but I make sure I give my skin that little extra love with Cetaphil Bright Healthy Radiance. It keeps my skin feeling calm and cared for, and that helps me show up feeling confident.”

Her trust in the brand—reinforced by her dermatologist—echoed one of the key takeaways of the event: skincare isn’t about chasing perfection; it’s about understanding what your skin actually needs.

A space for real conversations

The event created room for more than just product awareness. Across booths and panels, creators and guests engaged in genuine dialogue about the everyday realities of sensitive skin—sharing their own routines, triggers, and what finally worked for them.

By the end of the day, Cetaphil had built more than an event. It had created a space where skincare was seen through a sharper, more empathetic lens—one that combines science, support, and the understanding that sensitive skin deserves more than surface-level solutions.
