With the holy month of Ramzan finally coming to a close tomorrow, households across the country will break their fast and celebrate Eid with their loved ones through a delicious spread of dishes. Whether you’re venturing out for the festivities or celebrating at home, we’ve curated spots across Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Kolkata, and Pune to dine at (or order from). Ahead, discover places in your city and bookmark them for a memorable Eid meal with your friends and family.

Mumbai

ITC Maratha

This Eid, the hotel has curated a special menu at the Peshwa Pavilion. From tender, melt-in-the-mouth galouti kebabs, seekhs, and kormas, to fragrant murgh yakhni pulao and biryani, there’s much to pick from. Don’t miss the seviyan ka muzzafar, a sweet vermicelli dessert topped with nuts. The menu is available as a dinner buffet from April 10 to 11.

Bayroute

Bayroute’s month-long Ramzan offerings will culminate in a not-so-typical Eid spread featuring Middle Eastern classics. Think flavorful kebab koobideh (spiced chicken kebabs); quwarmah pide, a Kuwaiti chicken curry; dips like muhammara and hummus, and other delicacies, all mopped up with warm pita bread. Moreover, vegetarians won’t feel left out, with pide Zaffran, which consists of veggies cooked in a saffron-based sauce and accompanied by aromatic roz bukhari rice. Complete your meal with decadent baklava.

Novotel Mumbai International Airport

Stepping out for dinner on Eid and looking for places to dine at? Head to Novotel Mumbai’s Food Exchange for their exclusive Eid spread. While the classic handi biryani and kebabs paired with indulgent curries find space on the table, the shahi tukda will have you going for seconds. Top off the meal with a cooling Roohafza milkshake. To get a taste of the menu, drop by between 7:00 pm and 11:00 pm during April 11-13.

Delhi

ITC Maurya

If your idea of a perfect Eid meal involves not stepping out of the comfort of your home, then fret not as ITC Maurya is bringing the feast to you this year. You can order set menus for two or four people from their Gourmet Couch’s Ruhaniyat menu through the ITC Hotels app. Sample dishes like the famous haleem topped with fried onions, nihari, boti kebabs, and more.

Khoya

Looking for sweet treats to indulge in this Eid? Order the special festive collection from Khoya, an artisanal mithai label based in Delhi. No ‘meethi Eid’ would be complete without seviyan, and you can order two versions from Khoya—the decadent sheer khurma, which has roasted vermicelli cooked in milk and sugar, or the kimami seviyan, which is a dry Awadhi preparation popular in certain parts of India. Filled medjool dates, dates kheer, and chand (moon-shaped) barfi are some of the other desserts you can get your hands on. These will also make for great Eid gifts. Shop from their store at The Chanakya in Delhi or online from their website.

Kolkata

JW Marriott

While the hotel doesn’t have an exclusive menu for Eid, they are running an Awadhi food festival at JW Kitchen crafted by chef Ruhul and chef Gurfan that will feature all your festive favourites. Pop in for dinner and dig into dishes like gosht seekh kebabs, Awadhi-style fragrant biryani, the famous tunde ke kebab paired with saffron-infused sheermal (a sweet bread), and more. The best part? You can enjoy the spread long after Eid has ended, as the festival is on from April 9-21.

Sienna Store & Café

The award-winning Kolkata eatery might not have a curated Eid menu, but they do have a dish crafted especially for the festival that is worth visiting the restaurant for. Chef Sourav has come up with his rendition of the rich Pakistani daal gosht made with a mix of dals and featuring fatty fall-off-the-bone mutton.

Bengaluru

The Den

Those looking to celebrate Eid with a non-traditional meal can head to The Den to savour an elaborate lunch spread featuring a mix of Indian and Middle Eastern dishes. The hotel’s in-house restaurant, The Creek has a special menu for the occasion complete with a variety of flatbread, kebabs, curries, and pilafs. The menu is available only on April 11 from 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm.

Pune

The Westin

This Eid, the hotel is delivering festive deliciousness right to your doorstep with their aptly named Dawat box that has dishes like dum biryani in a handi, spiced kebabs, traditional curries like korma, and more. The boxes are available for delivery from April 11 to 12.
