A Man Called Otto

If there’s a movie featuring Tom Hanks, then you just know you won’t miss it! Based on the moving New York Times bestseller, A Man Called Otto, by Swedish author Fredrik Backman, the movie tells the story of Otto Anderson (Tom Hanks), a grumpy widower who gets joy only from criticising and judging his exasperated neighbours. There’s nothing that seems to bring a smile to his face. He detests personal interactions. The only ‘human’ connection he has is with his dead wife at the cemetery. However, things change when he meets a witty and pregnant Marisol in the young family that moves in next door. The friendship changes his life forever, and for the better.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

February is set to be fantastic as it’ll be time to enter the quantum realm. And if that wasn’t enough, the movie will also kick start Phase 5 in theatres (Marvel geeks will explain what it means). The movie brings back Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne/The Wasp, Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man, Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, and Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet van Dyne. There’s also Kathryn Newton as Cassie Lang, Scott’s daughter, who is all set to receive the superhero status of Stature. It’s a trailer that’s kept us hooked as we see our five superstars sucked inside Cassie’s satellite device and dragged into a conflict in the quantum realm with Kang the Conqueror.
