The dress is still under wraps, but one detail has already secured its place in fashion history.

Long before the official wedding photographs arrive, Taylor Swift has already made fashion history.

It has now been confirmed that Swift wore a custom Christian Dior Haute Couture wedding gown by Jonathan Anderson for her wedding to Travis Kelce on July 3. While the fashion world is still waiting for the first official glimpse of the dress itself, one detail is already making headlines: Swift is the first globally recognised celebrity bride to wear a couture wedding gown designed by Anderson since he took over as Dior's Creative Director.

The confirmation came through representatives for Swift and Dior, who revealed that both the bride and groom worked closely with Anderson on their wedding looks. Swift completed her bridal ensemble with custom Christian Louboutin shoes and Cartier jewellery. Beyond that, however, the house has kept every design detail under wraps, making the gown one of the most anticipated fashion reveals of the year.

That secrecy only adds to the significance of the moment. Anderson stepped into one of fashion's most closely-watched roles when he was appointed to lead Dior's women's, men's and haute couture collections after his celebrated tenure at Loewe. Since then, the fashion police have been waiting to see how he would shape the maison's next chapter. And having Swift choose him for one of the biggest moments of her life already feels like a milestone in that journey.

Interestingly, this is not Anderson's first bespoke bridal creation, but it is his first couture wedding dress for a global celebrity. His first bridal couture piece was for supermodel Ming Xi earlier this year.

For now, all anyone knows is that the bride wore Dior. The silhouette, embellishments, fabric, and finishing touches remain a mystery until Swift and Kelce decide to share their wedding photographs officially with the world.

Fashion remembers firsts, and this one is already written into Dior's history. For now, the wedding remains as private as the couple intended. Until the official photos are shared, Swift's Dior gown will remain one of the biggest fashion mysteries of the year, adding to the intrigue surrounding the celebration that has the entire world talking.
