Jaipur’s heritage shines bright with Nanagram Jewels dedicating rare Ural emerald to Maharaja Jai Singh II

What does a diamond atelier, with a distinguished legacy, have in common with Maharaja Jai Singh II,
the visionary founder of Jaipur, and an emerald from the Ural mines in Russia? A lot, especially if the atelier is Nanagram Fine Jewels. As a fitting tribute to the timeless beauty of natural diamonds that reflected the rich cultural heritage of Jaipur, the jewellery brand unveiled its flagship store in the Pink City in January. Richa Singh, the 
managing director (India and Middle East) of Natural Diamond Council, India, and Michelin-star chef, author, and jewellery connoisseur Suvir Saran were among the guests who graced the ocassion. 

At the heart of the celebration was the centrepiece on display—an emerald sourced decades ago from the famed Ural mines in Russia. With its pristine octahedral faces intact, the gemstone stood as a testament to timeless artistry and the brand’s legacy of curating rare treasures.

In a symbolic tribute, Subhash Jain, the patriarch of Nanagram Fine Jewels, dedicated the emerald to Maharaja Jai Singh II, honouring the city’s cultural heritage. “Emeralds are truly diamonds’ best companions. For generations, we’ve sought rare and exquisite stones, many of which are now relics of a bygone era,” shared Bharat Jain, Director, Nanagram Fine Jewels.
