Capris are back and cooler than you remember

Hailey Bieber steps out in polka-dotted pedal pushers and kitten heels—officially confirming the return of fashion’s most divisive silhouette.

It’s the trend we knew was inching its way back—and now it’s here in full stride. Just when fashion seemed to have maxed out its Y2K revival, Hailey Bieber was spotted making a case for capris. Her pair of white-and-black polka-dotted trousers from Spanish label Paloma Wool (currently sold out, of course), teamed with a fitted black sleeveless top, square-toed thong heels, and a structured mini bag, reignited the internet’s obsession with the once-dismissed silhouette.

Not so long ago, cropped pants were filed under awkward essentials—functional, never fashionable. But 2025’s version is proof that even the most divisive trends can return, sleeker and more styled than ever.

Cool girls are reclaiming the calf grazer

Capris have found their way back into the wardrobes of style-setters across the board. Bella Hadid has paired them with everything from open-back knits to corseted tops, while Dua Lipa’s offbeat prints and polished heels bring edge to the hemline. Even closer to home, Tania Shroff has embraced the look, giving it an easy, upscale spin.

Designers aren’t far behind. Jacquemus showed playful printed pairs, while Coperni and The Row took turns interpreting the capri with their signature codes—be it romantic minimalism or downtown polish. From tailored cuts to ruched seams, the range is as wide as the calf-length itself.

So, how do you wear them now? It’s all about balance. A structured capri pant—think side zip, centre crease, or light flare—pairs beautifully with contrasting tops: ruched halters, high-neck tanks, romantic ruffles, or boxy shirts. And don’t shy away from playful prints—polka dots, stripes, even gingham, all work. On the feet, kitten heels are the go-to (thank you again, Hailey), but pointed mules or sleek sneakers can pull their weight too. Add a mini bag and keep accessories clean—let the hemline do the talking.

Whether you’re team throwback or still unsure, there’s no denying that capris are having a high-fashion renaissance. What once felt clumsy now feels intentional—styled with precision, proportion, and a bit of nostalgic charm. They’ve gone from being a fashion faux pas to a wardrobe flex. And if Bieber's look is anything to go by, this season, showing a little calf might just be the boldest thing you do.
