Bella Hadid had her 'Breakfast at Tiffany’s' moment at Cannes

Her iconic tribute would certainly have made Audrey Hepburn proud.

Bella Hadid was spotted strolling into the famed Hôtel Martinez during the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, looking like she had stepped straight out of a Breakfast at Tiffany’s film reel. Paying striking homage to Audrey Hepburn’s iconic character, Holly Golightly, Hadid’s look was everything we’ve come to expect from her Cannes appearances: dramatic, deliberate, and deeply fashion-literate.

Photographed in a custom black Jacquemus gown that cinched at the waist and flared into a classic silhouette—much like Hepburn’s legendary Givenchy dress in the 1961 film—Hadid exuded the kind of quiet Parisian glamour that Hepburn has made timeless. The supermodel completed the ensemble with black leather slingback pumps and a small leather bag, both from Jacquemus, reinforcing the elegance of the overall look.

But the devil, as always, was in the details—and that’s what truly elevated this look from homage to high fashion. Hadid wore her fresh honey-blonde locks in a neat low chignon and opted for soft, delicate glam.

While Hepburn famously wore a Tiffany & Co. pearl necklace with a ribbon rosette, Bella sparkled in emerald earrings and a floral diamond choker by Chopard. Even the finishing touch—oversized black sunglasses—was not missed. Hadid wore a bold, oval-lensed pair that echoed Hepburn’s Oliver Goldsmith "Manhattan" frames from the film.

It was vintage Hollywood glamour, reimagined with Bella’s unmistakable edge.

But let’s be clear: this wasn’t a costume. It was a masterclass in reinterpretation. Hadid's version of Holly wasn’t just about pearls and posture—it was about capturing the essence of Old Hollywood sophistication in a way that felt entirely 2025.

This Audrey-inspired moment is just the latest chapter in Bella Hadid’s long-standing tradition of headline-making appearances during the Cannes Film Festival. Over the years, she’s turned the Croisette and its surroundings into her personal runway, serving up some of the most talked-about fashion moments of the decade—remember the sculptural Schiaparelli lung necklace in 2021? Or the daring vintage Versace she wore in 2022?

And while not technically on the red carpet, one cannot forget her 2024 moment outside a gelato shop in a red keffiyeh-inspired dress by Michael and Hushi. It was an unapologetic nod to her Palestinian heritage and quickly became a symbol of cultural pride and fashion resistance—further proof that Hadid’s sartorial choices are never accidental.

With every Cannes appearance, Hadid doesn’t just wear a look—she tells a story. This year, that story was pure cinematic romance. And with fashion’s obsession with archival glamour at an all-time high, the timing couldn’t have been more perfect.
