Why you should swap these everyday words and phrases from negative to positive

Change your experience by changing your vocabulary.

Our words mirror our emotions, thoughts, and feelings. More often than not, we do not realise it, but words have the power to build us and our reality. When we speak or think negatively, you attract negative experiences in your life while speaking positive words result in good, desirable experiences. And this holds true for all of us. So, why not try to create a beautiful world for us and the people around us by using words that instill inspiration, enthusiasm, and encouragement among all.

Abracadabra: What you speak you create!

A simple switch in your vocabulary can be a game changer from leading a mediocre life to an extraordinary one. Here are some words that you should swap for their positive versions.

Problem: The first word you should drop from your vocabulary is ‘problem’. When you face a difficult situation and want to describe the experience with someone, swap 'problem' for 'challenge' or 'expander'.

Those who see the situation as an ‘expander’ have an advantage. They are training their minds to see life with a positive perspective of growth. They are showing willingness to find solutions to their life situations. On the contrary, the word ‘problem’ is bound to have a negative impact and will leave you overwhelmed.

Saying: "I am facing a challenge" rather than "I have a problem", rewires our mind to deal with the difficulty with more positive vigour.

Spending: When you say 'spending' you indicate using something up, exhausting it. This low-energy word can be upgraded by using the high-powered word: investing. The term indicates expending resources, but you do so with an expectation of getting a good return on your investment (ROI).

For instance, I am investing my time in reading, establishing, studying, working, learning, with family and friends, is a much better thing to say than I am spending my time.

By changing the words you speak in your everyday language, you take responsibility for your experiences. Swapping that one word will change the energy around you and your thoughts. It will improve your life, rather than weigh you down when you keep repeating low-energy words.

I would suggest to switch up everyday, positive-sounding phrases like: I am falling in love. Why fall when you can rise together? Swap the phrase for: I am rising in love.

When you understand how much power each word you speak has, you can transform yourself and create an amazing future. Whatever words you give your energy and attention to, will come back to you. Expect miracles after upgrading your vocabulary.
