Things you should know about comedian Trevor Noah ahead of his India debut

Listen up, comedy lovers! You’re going to be in for a treat over the next few weeks as Emmy-winning TV host and comedian, Trevor Noah, is debuting in India with his ‘Off The Record’ tour with shows in Delhi, Bengaluru, and Mumbai. The news has got us grinning like a 10-year-old in a candy store. Noah is bringing his ‘Off The Record’ to Delhi (September 22-24), Bengaluru (September 27-28), and finishing off in Mumbai (September 30-October 1). 

For the uninitiated, Noah is a South African comedian, writer, and producer (these are just a few of the feathers in his hat), and is most popularly known for hosting The Daily Show, an American late-night talk show and satirical news programme from 2015-2022. But before you witness his charisma and wit first-hand, here are a few things you should know about Noah. 

He is a master storyteller 

Through vivid storytelling, Noah paints vibrant pictures of his travels and life experiences, taking his audiences on a laughter tour. He has the ability to seamlessly weave in wordplay with current news and social commentaries. We are shocked it took so long for Noah to debut in India, considering he often infuses his love for our country with satirical humour that leaves us in splits. Apart from being a world-renowned comedian and host, Noah is known to use his voice to raise awareness and support various causes. He has won numerous awards and accolades

Noah is no doubt a man of many talents. He has bagged numerous awards and accolades throughout his career. Most recently, he was awarded the prestigious Dutch Erasmus Prize in 2023 for his exceptional contribution to the humanities and the arts. His work has also been awarded across genres by the NAACP and the Audie Awards by the Audio Publishers Association.
