Being a star in today’s time means more than just delivering hits—it means donning many hats, and one of the most exciting is that of an entrepreneur. From fashion and wellness to hospitality and clean beauty, a wave of celebrities is launching ventures that mirror their ethos.

Just this month, Sanya Malhotra debuted BREE Matcha, a mindful tea brand rooted in Japanese tradition, and Ranbir Kapoor made a foray into fashion with ARKS, just a few months ago. We’ve seen Gauri Khan reimagine Asian dining with Torii in Mumbai and unveil her Experience Centre in Delhi—a curated space for bespoke interiors, while Malaika Arora’s charming restaurant Scarlett House, Bhumi Pednekar’s mindful beachfront retreat Kaia, and Mira Kapoor’s in-city wellness hub Dhun have each carved a niche in the lifestyle space.

From Deepika Padukone’s clean skincare line 82°E to Alia Bhatt’s sustainable kidswear label Ed-a-Mamma and Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ global haircare brand Anomaly, the trend is clear—Bollywood’s biggest names are building legacies that go far beyond the limelight.

Sanya Malhotra–BREE Matcha

Sanya Malhotra is brewing something fresh—and it’s not just another film. This month, the actor entered the wellness space with BREE Matcha, a lifestyle brand that blends ancient Japanese tea traditions with modern-day living. Co-founded with wellness entrepreneurs Dr Kunal Shah and Siddharth Shah, BREE brings ceremonial-grade matcha straight from Kagoshima, Japan, to your daily routine. With three offerings—Everyday Matcha, Ceremonial Matcha, and a beautifully curated Matcha Kit—the brand is all about making mindful sipping a daily habit.

Ranbir Kapoor–ARKS

Ranbir Kapoor made his mark beyond the movies with the launch of ARKS, his new lifestyle and fashion brand, launched early this year. Rooted in quiet luxury and effortless style, ARKS reflects Kapoor’s understated charm. The debut collection spans both menswear and womenswear, offering everyday staples with a refined edge. From soft cotton tees and linen shirts to sleek hoodies and elegant kaftans, each piece is designed to feel easy yet elevated. With classic sneakers, bamboo yarn socks, and clean-cut accessories rounding out the mix, ARKS is all about laid-back style done right.

Gauri Khan–Delhi Experience Centre and Torii

Earlier this month, Gauri Khan launched the Gauri Khan Designs Experience Centre in Delhi. This appointment-only space offers a personalised look into her world of interiors, complete with custom furniture, curated art, and private design consultations. From stylish dining to statement living, Gauri Khan continues to shape how India experiences luxury—one space at a time.

The actor stepped into the world of hospitality in February 2024 with the launch of Torii, her first restaurant in Mumbai’s Bandra suburb. Known for redefining interiors with her luxe-meets-comfort aesthetic, she brings the same sensibility to this 4,500 sq ft pan-Asian diner. Torii is divided into three thoughtfully designed sections: a cosy al fresco space layered with greenery and brass accents, an elegant lounge anchored by a striking green island bar, and a dramatic indoor dining area featuring distressed mirror ceilings and chic red tables. The menu is a reflection of Torii’s design philosophy—familiar, yet forward-thinking. Highlights include the Thai chicken mushi gyoza with lemongrass and basil, the indulgent dirty truffle maki roll with crispy shimeji and truffle mayo, and the velvety Black Cod that melts in your mouth.

Mira Kapoor–Dhun Wellness

Mira Kapoor is reshaping the idea of self-care with the launch of Dhun Wellness, a luxurious new sanctuary tucked away in Mumbai’s buzzing Bandra. Designed to feel like a retreat without leaving the city, Dhun spans 6,000 square feet of calming curves, muted tones, and soft light—every detail crafted to soothe the senses without disconnecting from urban life. Think of it as a gentle reset, not a full escape.

At the heart of Dhun are its deeply considered seven-day programmes focused on gut health, sleep, stress, detox, and women’s wellness—each blending ancient wisdom with modern science. From hormone testing and Ayurvedic therapies to emotional healing techniques like EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), Dhun brings together the clinical and the spiritual in a space that feels both rooted and restorative. With curved walls echoing the form of a womb and light that mimics the circadian rhythm, Mira Kapoor’s Dhun is wellness reimagined.

Bhumi Pednekar–Kaia Resort

Bhumi Pednekar has added a new chapter to her journey—this time, as an investor in Kaia, Chrome Asia Hospitality’s first oceanfront resort in Goa. Tucked away on the quiet sands of Ashwem beach, Kaia is a 10-key boutique retreat that channels the laid-back spirit of Bali and Tulum with a uniquely Goan soul. The design is intentionally minimal—waves of timber, gravel paths, and paddy grass lead the way to serene white-and-wood rooms, free of digital distractions and full of thoughtful details like locally made hay lights and fine contemporary art.

At Kaia, time slows down. Mornings start with hearty rancheros, afternoons are for village cycling tours, fishing trips, or surfing sessions, and evenings invite you to unwind with wood-fired pizza, earthy cocktails, or a session of sound healing under the stars. The resort also features a stunning four-bedroom villa overlooking the backwaters, perfect for longer, more indulgent stays. Sustainability runs deep—from furniture crafted in fallen wood and coconut stumps to over 300 plants dotting the property. For Pednekar, who’s long championed conscious living, Kaia is a reflection of mindful luxury.

Malaika Arora–Scarlett House

Malaika Arora has opened the doors to something truly special with Scarlett House—her newly launched restaurant tucked inside a 90-year-old Portuguese bungalow in Bandra, Mumbai. Co-founded with restaurateur Dhaval Udeshi in November 2024, the space has been thoughtfully reimagined to feel like a warm, elegant escape. From vintage tiles and wooden beams to cosy nooks, every detail invites you in. The highlight? An intimate wine and cheese room that’s as rare as it is charming in Mumbai’s dining scene. With bold cocktails, comfort-driven dishes, and a design that balances heritage with modern flair, Scarlett House is where old-world charm meets new-age indulgence.

Shilpa Shetty–Bastian

Shilpa Shetty has seamlessly blended star power with savvy entrepreneurship through her expanding hospitality footprint, most notably with the Bastian chain of restaurants. Since coming on board in 2019 as a 50 per cent stakeholder alongside founder Ranjit Bindra, Shetty has helped grow the brand into a sought-after dining destination with restaurants in Mumbai, Pune, and Goa. Known for its bold, indulgent menu—think Lobster Bombs, Mongolian Lamb, Burrata Salad, and comforting Hot Stone Soup—Bastian is where elevated comfort food meets plush, photogenic settings. Each location is a visual treat, defined by dramatic lighting, high ceilings, statement chandeliers, and a vibe that’s equal parts luxe and laid-back.

Complementing Bastian’s fine-dining appeal is Blondie, a chic café under the same umbrella. Designed as a warm, welcoming space for coffee lovers and casual diners alike, Blondie pairs thoughtfully brewed matcha and coffee with all-day eats and cosy interiors. Whether you're planning a weekend brunch or an indulgent dinner, Shilpa Shetty’s culinary ventures offer good food and an experience.

Alia Bhatt – Ed-a-Mamma

Alia Bhatt has ventured into the world of conscious fashion with Ed-a-Mamma, her kidswear and lifestyle brand rooted in sustainability and storytelling. What began as a clothing line for children aged 2 to 14 has grown into a full-fledged ecosystem offering natural-fabric garments, plastic-free trims, and thoughtful details like seed ball potlis with every outfit—encouraging kids to plant trees and engage with the planet early on.

The brand has since expanded into maternity and nursing wear, upcycled toys, and eco-friendly accessories like bags, bedding, and hair clips—each designed to be gentle on both children and the earth. With Ed-a-Mamma, Bhatt isn’t just creating products; she’s nurturing a lifestyle that celebrates mindful living from the very beginning.

Deepika – 82°E

Deepika Padukone’s journey into entrepreneurship took a powerful turn in 2022 with the launch of 82°E, her skincare brand rooted in clean beauty and mindful living. Named after India’s standard meridian, the brand reflects Padukone’s belief in balance—between science and tradition, nature and innovation. With a lineup of vegan, cruelty-free products, 82°E champions Indian ingredients like ashwagandha, lotus, bakuchiol, and patchouli, crafted into elegant formulations that prioritise skin health over quick fixes. Standouts like the Lotus Splash Cleanser, Ashwagandha Bounce Moisturiser, and Patchouli Glow Sunscreen Drops have already gained a loyal following, thanks to their gentle efficacy and luxurious feel.

But 82°E is just one part of Padukone’s growing portfolio. As an investor and entrepreneur, she’s also backed a range of homegrown brands—from All About You on Myntra and Epigamia, to BluSmart, Purplle, Supertails, Blue Tokai, and more—each reflecting her commitment to thoughtful, future-forward ventures.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas–Anomaly

Priyanka Chopra Jonas made her mark in the beauty world with the launch of Anomaly in 2021—a haircare brand that quickly went global for all the right reasons. Built on the idea that our hair is as unique as we are, Anomaly delivers clean, high-performing formulas with a strong commitment to sustainability. From recyclable packaging made with minimal plastic to ingredients that are vegan and cruelty-free, the brand reflects Chopra Jonas’ personal mission to make conscious, impactful choices.

Anomaly offers a complete lineup for every hair type, including targeted shampoos and conditioners, a nourishing hair and scalp oil, a dry shampoo, and a powerful bonding mask. After making waves internationally, the brand entered the Indian market in August 2022—bringing with it a new standard for haircare that’s mindful, inclusive, and high-performance.
