Are you hungry for more? You’re in luck—a fourth season of The Bear was quietly green-lighted ahead of season three’s release, according to reports in March 2024 from Variety and Deadline. Seasons three and four were reportedly filmed back-to-back in Chicago.
The early renewal doesn’t come as a total surprise, given The Bear’s widespread critical acclaim and its victorious run in last year’s award circuit. The FX on Hulu series nabbed 10 Emmys and four Golden Globes, including wins for stars Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri.

Season four of FX’s The Bear finds Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White), Sydney Adamu (Ayo Edebiri) and Richard “Richie” Jerimovich (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) pushing forward, determined not only to survive, but also to take The Bear to the next level. With new challenges around every corner, the team must adapt, adjust and overcome. This season, the pursuit of excellence isn’t just about getting better—it’s about deciding what’s worth holding on to.
Who’s in the cast?
White and Edebiri are set to return alongside cast members Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, and Matty Matheson. Oliver Platt and Molly Gordon will also return in recurring roles.
What happens in the trailer?
The first trailer for season four, which dropped in May 2025, teases new challenges for the staff at The Bear.
“People go to restaurants to be taken care of, to relax, to not have to think about anything else for a minute,” Carmy says at the start of the trailer. Meanwhile, Cicero is pressing Carmy and Sydney to up the restaurant’s dwindling profits. “That clock is telling you how much money we have left,” he says. “When that shows zero, this restaurant needs to cease operations.”
