The streaming giant, at its global event ‘Tudum: A Global Fan Event’ hosted over the last weekend in Brazil, dropped a host of never-seen-before trailers, footage, and the first look of upcoming films, series, and games slated for the rest of the year.
Hosted by Never Have I Ever star Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Chase Stokes of Outer Banks fame, and Brazilian actor Maisa da Silva Andrade, the event was star-studded. Here's everything you need to know about the event and the OTT platform's upcoming shows.
Let’s begin with The Archies, a movie adapted from the popular comic book series by the same name with an all-Indian cast. The event saw cast members—Agastya Nanda (Archie Andrews), Khushi Kapoor (Betty Cooper), Suhana Khan (Veronica Lodge), Mihir Ahuja (Jughead Jones), Dot (Ethel Muggs), Vedang Raina (Reggie Mantle), and Yuvraj Menda (Dilton Doiley) set the stage on fire as they danced to the track of the song ‘Sunoh’.
The film, directed by Zoya Akhtar, is described as “a musical experience bursting with youth, rebellion, friendships, first loves and everything young adult, it still promises to have something for every generation".
Alia Bhatt fans rejoiced as the trailer of her Hollywood debut Heart of Stone, where she plays the role of hacker Keya Dhawan, was shown at the event. She was on stage with co-stars Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan. The spy thriller has Gadot out to save the world and it appears that Bhatt is playing the perfect foil to all her efforts.
