Celebrities from all industries and all walks of life gathered on the carpeted steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art for a night of fashion. The 2025 Met Gala honored the theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” based on the museum’s exhibition of the same name, and stars walked the blue carpet in their own takes on the suit or menswear-inspired ensembles.

While the red-carpet looks were exquisite as always, there were other special moments that took place during the evening: pregnancy reveals, touching displays of romance, sweet reunions, big comebacks, and more.

Ahead, see all the biggest moments you may have missed from the 2025 Met Gala.

Athletes took the spotlight

In a true, fabulous collision of sport and fashion, fastest woman in the world Sha’carri Richardson walked the same red carpet as record-breaking Olympic gymnast Simone Biles and WNBA stars Angel Reese, Sabrina Ionescu, and Breanna Stewart.

There was a “White Lotus” reunion

White Lotus Season 3 costars Aimee Lou Wood and Patrick Schwarzenegger walked the event’s blue carpet together in coordinating suit looks, honoring the theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.”

Dua Lipa and Callum Turner made their debut

The pair walked their first red carpet together in coordinating black Chanel looks—and, man, did they look in love.

Rihanna revealed her third pregnancy

Baby number three is on the way, and of course the singer debuted her baby bump in a suit-inspired corset dress from Marc Jacobs on the Met Gala steps.

Diana Ross returned

The iconic singer made her triumphant return to the Met Gala in a sweeping white crystal-embellished gown that she designed herself. She styled it with a matching feather-boa-trimmed cape and a dramatic hat, also with feathers.

Her last time attending the Met Gala was in 2003.

Kamala Harris made an appearance

The former vice president made an appearance at the gala in a timeless black-and-white gown from Off-White. Though she seemingly skipped the red carpet, her attendance was a welcome surprise.

Bad Bunny paid homage to Puerto Rico

The “Debí Tirar Más Fotos” singer walked the carpet in a chocolate Prada suit and two very meaningful accessories that honored his native Puerto Rico. One was a brown woven hat made to look like the straw pavas often worn in the PR countryside; the other was a diamond brooch shaped like his island’s national flower, the Flor de Maga.

Kendall Jenner and Hailey Bieber walked together

The besties technically walked the red carpet separately—though side by side—but they later stood together to pose for photos in their respective suit looks.

Bieber wore a black blazer minidress from Saint Laurent and was notably without husband Justin Bieber. Jenner, meanwhile, wowed in a gray suit jacket and matching maxi skirt from British fashion designer Torisheju.

Madonna returned to the Met, with a cigar

The pop icon returned to the Met Gala for the first time since 2018, and for the occasion she wore a silky champagne suit and smoked a cigar. Why not?
