Why Margot Robbie’s Chanel contract ending was the best for her style

The end of an era, the start of an age.

Margot Robbie has been the face of the 2023 fashion scene. With the famous Chanel logo long gone (Robbie's contract with Chanel ended in November 2022), she has been experimenting with her style a lot more. From single-brand outfits, which, over time, became predictable and monotonous, Robbie's style has taken a turn for the better as she dons looks by Versace, Pucci, Moschino, Bottega Veneta, Schiaparelli, and Prada.

Since 2018, after signing a contract with the fashion house, the Aussie actress solely wore Chanel to every event; while some found her style to be intriguing at the beginning, her fashion "statements" started becoming repetitive. Much to the delight of her fans, the blonde actress walked out in a stunning green Bottega Veneta cut-out dress, marking the end of her association with Chanel and fire-starting her Barbie era.

Barbie is touted to be the biggest movie of all time, and a lot of its popularity has to do with the marketing done for this movie. The actors have been sartorially storytelling through their outfits for every press run of the film—some even say, they don't know where Margot ends and Barbie begins. With the help of her new stylist, Andrew Mukamal, she has been serving looks fashion critics will remember for a long time.

During one of her press tours, Robbie confirmed she is living in her own Barbie world. This black custom Schiaparelli Haute Couture gown was one of the most opulent ensembles of the entire press tour. The actress dressed in an outfit modelled after the doll's 1960 'Solo in the Spotlight' ensemble for the film's much-anticipated Los Angeles premiere. The gown is an exquisite reminder that the star is going down in history for her outfits this press run.

As expected, people on the internet have had a lot to say about this stunning actor's style overhaul and here are some of the most notable comments we have come across.
